Father carves headstone for George's grave

The first anniversary of the death of George Sawyer of Farnley Tyas fell on Wednesday, March 27.

George, who was 18 and a student at Askham Bryan College, was from Farnley Tyas and rests in the churchyard at St Lucius'.

The beautiful new headstone, carved by his father Philip, a professional stone mason, was installed on March 25.
