Our curate, the Rev Professor Jessica Malay, left, has been licensed by the Bishop of Leeds as Associate Priest in the benefice of Almondbury with Farnley Tyas. Felicity, our Rector, writes: "Jessica has offered a great many gifts, wisdom and experience to the parish during her time as curate, and she is much loved and valued here. "I am so delighted that she will be staying with us in this new role. I'm sure you'll join me in wishing her congratulations, and in praying for her as she discerns the shape of her vocation within this new role. "We will be celebrating with Jessica after a joint parish service at All Hallows on February 27 at 10.30am, with cake and a glass of bubbly (or soft alternative!)" As well as her work as a priest, Jessica is Associate Dean of Research Innovation and Knowledge Exchange in the School of Arts and Humanities at Huddersfield University. She is a leading scholar of early modern women's writing and early modern culture.
