FUNERALS 'Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted'

As well as being here for times of joy, our parish community also exists to give hope and comfort in more difficult times.

We regard the leading and arranging of funerals as an important and privileged part of our ministry.

Time is given to visit families, comforting those facing loss and discovering what form of service they wish to use and helping them to arrange it.

Even if someone has not been regular churchgoer, they have the right to a funeral in one of our churches.

The service is for friends and family to gather to express their grief, to give thanks for an earthly life now completed and to commend their loved one into God’s keeping.

No matter the size or scope of the service, we shall try to provide whatever you may require.

A step-by-step guide to arranging a funeral, drawn up by the Church of England, may be found by clicking on the button below.
