PROVIDING A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR ALL
In the Diocese of Leeds, we recognise the need to provide a safe, warm environment for children, youth and adults so that those who have suffered abuse feel supported and welcome.
We recognise that, to achieve a safe environment, we need to create an atmosphere of knowledgeable awareness where the unthinkable can be thought and discussed.
We also recognise that to help and support those giving their time to nurture children, young people and adults within the Church, clear guidelines, training and advice need to be given.
We have adopted the House of Bishop's Promoting a Safer Church, copies of which may be found HERE.
The Safeguarding Officer for Almondbury with Farnley Tyas is Linda Smith (O1484 304091). Contact numbers for Children and Adult Services are available HERE.
