![]() The cool sounds of jazz will fill St Lucius’ Church on November 1. Threeway – Steve Waterman trumpet, Steve Lodder keyboards, Ben Crosland bass – is coming to the village as part of its 20th anniversary tour. Huddersfield-based Ben and his band are no strangers to the church having drawn large audiences in previous years. The programme will contain music from their new album, HARKEN!, which was recently featured on BBC Radio3 and which has pleased the critics. George Cole of Jazz Views wrote: ‘With the pedigree of musicianship on offer, it’s no surprise that HARKEN! is an album that pleases in so many ways.' Andy Robson of Jazzwise said: 'HARKEN! marks 20 years of Threeway’s illustrious association, yet even over that time, the music remains fresh. 'As a drum free trio, there’s always been a chamber-like intimacy to their music, spacious, with room-a-plenty to stretch and relax.’ Details: Doors open at 7pm, the concerts starts at 7.30pm, tickets on the door for £10, refreshments for a donation.
